Hi here are some pics I promised. It is hard getting
a pic of her since she is very quick. We named her Marcella Lucita (Lucy for short). We call her Lucy because her moms
name was Sissy Lou) so we combined the lu and the sy(cy). Marcella, in honor of her birth family and Lucita for her "Chico"
father. Thank you for allowing us to adopt her. Your children did a great job of giving her love and making her feel secure.
The
picture where she is sitting pretty was the first night we brought her home. I had a cage that I used on the puppies
I kept 2 weeks, before I gave them to my daughter for Christmas. I will also enclose a picture of those two stinkers and my daughter with them.
I didn't have to use the cage because she was already puppy pad broke. Marcella Lucita is such a wonderful puppy!
She is well socialized and everything I need in my life now that my children have grown and gone. I have my two boys
(chihuahuas) but they are very independent.
I also have three part chows that are 15, 14 and 13 years old. Our
children grew up and left them with me. They spend their days sleeping, eating, and I spend my day let dog in, let dog out.
My mother also died recently and I inherited her 2 dogs that are seven years old. I can't find it in my heart to find
them a new home. The last thing my mother wanted was for me to remove her from the hospital and take her home so she could
tell her Happy and Molly good-bye, which I did. I tell myself that the 15 and 14 year old are becoming old and feeble and
starting to have health problems and that one day soon they will pass from my household. The 13 year old is also arthritic
badly in one leg, but because of her age the vet recommends keeping her on meds till she can't go on anymore. Because
of these things, Lucita has brought joy to me.
It is a delight to see her running through the house after the
"boys". They need the exercise as much as I do! She plays tug of war with them and plays hide and seek with Rocky, the black
one--he is 3 years old. The first night she cuddled up and Rocky put his bottom up against her to keep warm. Dogs like to
sleep like that bottom to bottom. Hercules the tan one is 6+ years old. He was a bit more grumpy with her at first, but last night Lucy
snuggled in between my chest and Hercules. She inched and inched and inched her way over to him until she finally rested her head on his tummy.
He was almost asleep, and gave a little growl, but let her sleep there against him all night. My hobby is writing stories
for kids and I know Lucita will give me a great deal to write about and a lot of love. Thank you and thank your family
for giving me this connection to life again.
I am attaching the few pictures I have so far, but be prepared for new
stories and pictures of Lucy Goosey aka Marcella.
